Residential Homes

Currently we are supporting people in seven residential homes in and around Te Awamutu.  

 

We have opened four new homes in the past two years and the Trust is looking at expanding our service yet again.

 

Each home is carefully planned with people compatibility in mind. The age range of our service users is 18 to 70. Some homes are same gender while others are mixed.

 

Each resident has a “key person” who is proactive in identifying new needs and ensuring quality service is experienced.  

 

The secret to our success is in the team environment of the homes.  Just like yours and mine they all (staff and residents) work together with special consideration for all housemates needs.

 

One on one time is part of the service for every user and allows time for relaxation or pursuing special interests.  

 

We encourage direct input from advocates, welfare guardians and family members about the best placement for their loved ones.

 

Many of our clients have come in as respite clients initially and we provide a range of transition options from day visits to overnight stays or even weekends.
