Trust - Mission Statement

The Te Awamutu Residential Trust is committed to providing the best possible residential services based on the needs and aspirations of the people we support.

 

We will promote the development of relationships with family, friends and community, and will support and foster the potential for independence and freedom of choice for people with an intellectual disability.

 

The Te Awamutu Residential Trust, it's management and staff are committed to total quality service and therefore welcome and encourage comment from family and friends of our residents.

 

We strive to maintain and improve our service and will always appreciate comment, both good and adverse, that helps us to assess and improve our quality of care.

 

Te Awamutu Community

 

Input from our residents is an integral part that takes place within our organisation especially around social gatherings and fundraising.

 

The Te Awamutu community has traditionally been very supportive of these events and their generosity has ensured that fundraising activities are always a huge success.

 

We had a record number of family and friends turn out in 2009 to support as well with numbers exceeding 80.

 

Residents

 

The family feeling is experienced  in the homes with all members contributing to meal planning, shopping, housework etc.

 

We create a “Home Away” from home for all our residents
